Yes, that's my attempt to make a pirate 'Argh' sound. The latest MOOHAHA design is in honor of pirates, who's contribution to global fashion has been... well let's just say hit and miss.
PIRATE FASHION
HIT: Bringing back the eye patch, hooks and scars, toughening up hipsters everywhere. Chicks dig scars, boys take note.
MISS: Men wearing hoop earrings. Nuf' said.
HIT: Feathers. Bare with me here. Not the ol scraggly parrot on the
shoulder, I'm talking the feather in the cap that then brought us
stunning fascinators. Yes, I'm aware that's a bit of a stretch but I'm
claiming it. Pirates invented fascinators.
MISS: Harem pants. Fair enough if you're going for the dirty hippy look or playing dress ups, but trying to get into a local pub or dress them up with heels to wear to a club, sorry I'm not convinced. A saggy bum/crutch is not sexy.
HIT: Skull and cross bones. From Alexander McQueen to Target, nearly every decade features a version of the international symbol for pirates.
So in honor of Talk Like A Pirate Day (19th September, go grab your diary and jot it down now) ye fello swashbucklers, I give you SKULL & CROSS BONES by MOOHAHA designs.
